THE DURATION OF EACH MEDICAL ACT
The duration of each medical act is also
controlled at the Kovacs Back Units. This control is maintained
by means of computer and manual mechanisms and compares the
information obtained from each source.
This information allows the average time for each kind of
medical intervention or act made at a Unit to be calculated.
The average duration is compared among different doctors and
different Units, ensuring that in all cases, the minimums
set by the Foundation for each medical act are surpassed.
Additionally, this information allows for the assessment
of other aspects related to the organizational efficiency
of the Unit, such as the average waiting time for patients
to see a doctor, which helps detect and correct any possible
malfunctioning.
The Foundation also organizes periodic visits to the Units,
in which other aspects are assessed directly. These visits
seek to ensure, for example, that the health material used
is that approved by the Kovacs Foundation for its specific
use (including, for example, the kind of surgical material
used for neuroreflexology interventions) or that the information
provided by the Unit by means of the different mechanisms
in effect coincides with that Unit's records.
