PROMOTING PUBLIC HEALTH AMONG HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
Most doctors are dedicated to attending patients,
and only a small number participate in quality research projects.
Keeping a clinical practice up to date is difficult, since
communication between a research elite and practicing physicians
is not always easy: their objectives and emphasis tend to
be different, as are their priorities, fields of interest
and even the language they use.
The Foundation's projects to promote public health among
health professionals seek to help solve this problem. Their
primary objective is to make the scientific evidence necessary
to quality care accessible to practicing physicians and to
ensure that the information they get is comprehensible, practical
and applicable.
